Is it possible to use Hibernate annotations stand-alone without an EJB3 container? Or, in an older container that doesn't support EJB3?

If so, what do I need? Just the hibernate and annotations jarballs, plus my compiled classes? Do I need any extra jarballs to make up for the lack of built-in EJB3 support?
