i have had problem with migration to Hibernate 3.2 . i have replaced my
Hibernate 3.0 jar with Hibernate 3.2 jar and i was in big mess. my application was not working. than i have replaced new jar with Old jar and my app is now working fine.

Hibernate 3.2 has cool features but it is not stable or i m not migrating it in proper way. any one know how to migrate from 3.0 to 3.2.

because 3.2 has some bug fixes . especially when u create alias for Collection than hibernate 3.o does inner join there is no way to do outer join on the collection but hibernate 3.2 has fixed this bug .

and 3.2 has another feature callled detachable Criteria . using this u can create Criteria out side of session.

and yaa i think there is some fundamental change is issuing hibernate session in its 3.2 jar

if any one has any idea how to migrate from hibernate 3.0 to 3.2 than plz help.

what errors are you getting? did you upgrade the jars Hibernate is dependent on at the same time?

hi i have updated jar file and my class path. too.

see in my app when i try to use session.saveOrupdate(Object) that time it throws an exception. and that exception is not consistent . and yaa before starting my app i have replaced my jar file with 3.2 , than i have updated my context defination . than restarted my tomcat.

i m using eclips 3.1 . to code and run my app .

and one of my friend have had the same problem . and i told him to replace hibernate 3.2 jar with 3.0 and now his app is working fine.

so i think we are making some fundamental mistake :-( .
