I have read many related topics but most of them are using Oracle or the solution is too old.

What's the current approach to handle CLOB/BLOB with DB2?

The problem is that I don't have experience to handle clob/blob in hibernate 3.x with db2 8.x. Many articles on the web are outdated or not pointing out the way.

There must be some people using this combination. I would like to hear from them before getting a probable long way to find it out.

Also, the official solution from the Hibernate team is much appreciated.
