How to test HQL queries ???

hi all,

Is there a way to test HQL queries before implementing in code ??? As we do in other databases , for eg. SQL Analyser for SQL Server... can we test hibernate queries too ???

hibernate tools has a plug-in that works with eclipse with an hql editor where you can run queries against your database

You can also use JUnit tests to test/tune them.
