hi all,

SessionFactory creates Sessions. Threads servicing client requests obtain Sessions from the factory. This is fine, but how can we define sessionFactory ???

Do you mean how do you obtain the sessionFactory ?
If so, check the hibernate documentation, chapter 3, ยง3.2.
If not enough, have a look at http://www.hibernate.org/43.html and others at http://www.hibernate.org/37.html
