Is size limited when insert thai data by hibernate?

Can I insert thai data 4000 chars into database( Oracle field type vachar2 size 4000 set Database NLS_CHARACTER to TH8TISASCII )by hibernate?.
Now, when i insert thai data 4000 chars by hibernate into Oracle database , It is'n done. Error " Data size bigger than max size for this type" is shown. Thai data that I can insert now is 1333 chars.
How can i insert Thai data 4000 chars into database?

From a quick look on Google it seems that a single Thai character can take up to three bytes to represent in TH8TISASCII, which would explain the problems that you are seeing.

Hope that helps,
Cheers,
Rich.
