Hibernate version:
3.0.5

I have a question concerning the FetchMode class:
It's easy to set FetchMode "join", for instance:

Code:
crit.setFetchMode("drddealunits", FetchMode.JOIN);

However, I would like to set the FetchMode "subselect" in a Criteria Query.
As there is no constant FetchMode.SUBSELECT, I can only configure this in my mapping file.

Is there any way to do this during runtime, and not in the mapping file?

best regards,
Stefan

I am a bit confused with the constants in Class FetchMode.

FetchMode.LAZY is deprecated, it says "use FetchMode.SELECT".

The comment in FetchMode.SELECT is, however:

"Fetch eagerly, using a separate select".

--> So when I want to use lazy loading with Fetch Mode "SELECT", I would have chosen FetchMode.SELECT. According to the comment, this would however cause eager fetching. So how do I configure lazy loading? Or is just the comment for FetchMode.SELECT wrong?
