@Entity
public class MySchedule {
public java.util.Date[] getAvailableDates();
}

How to the Date[] array?
Do I need a separate table to keep the Dates?

Thanks!

Map it as one-to-many and elements.

You don't need additional table.

You can do something like that which requires a separate table

Code:
@CollectionOfElements
   @JoinTable(
         name="BoyFavoriteNumbers",
         joinColumns = @JoinColumn(name="BoyId")
   )
   @Column(name="favoriteNumber", nullable=false)
   public int[] getFavoriteNumbers() {
      return favoriteNumbers;
   }

Or you can use a UserType that will keep all you dates in a single column
