 Post subject: BLOB Very Slow

I'm writing an application which store files in a DB2 UDB database.
I use the binary (or BinaryBlob) tag on the hbm.xml and Byte[] on the .cs.
if field >100K ,is very slow.

Well, you have to be more specific.

How slow? You need to give timings.

Also, you might want to give a point of reference. If you do the Blobs "manually" using ADO.NET, what times to you get? How much faster (if at all) is it when you do it this way?
