Pretend that the view is simply a table, and don't provide any setters in your mapped class unless you know the view (and the columns for which you're providing setters) is updatable. Hibernate will treat it like a table, which is pretty much how a view behaves anyways.

I have had to make my own persister, which actually just did nothing (as in: not persist), so that I nh would actually save out associations correctly.
