I am using hibernate 3.0 in my web application.

After the web server is started for about 8 hours or so I started getting exception as follows :

500 Servlet Exception

I was able to solve this problem by using the c3po connection pool.But now I started to get this exception occassionally :

I went thorugh hibernate forums I was not able to get the solution to this problem.
Can u help me out with the solution since it quite urgent.

Are you trying to execute a statement after the connection has been closed?

No I have checked Hibernate session has been closed properly .This exception occurs when the web server has been started for a long time.

Is this class com.caucho.jsp.JavaPage one of yours?

If I check the stacktrace you posted it looks like this service is trying to execute a prepared statement. And the exception says that this is done after the connection has already been closed.

This happens generally when you use the default connection pool supplied with hibernate. Investigate using C3P0

I think you have not read my entire question.The first exception was gone after using c3po connection pool.
But even after using c3po I am getting exception as follows
