Hibernate version: 3.0

Hi,
I'm looking for some technical documentation about how mapping is realized in hibernate 3.0. So, I'm looking for information how e.g generalization and other ralationships, collections are realized. What O/R mapping patterns are used within hibernate?
I would be very grateful for all documentation references.
