I've got a table with unix epoch date fields. It would be really nice if there were any easy way to get Hibernate to translate those into and out of a Java Date field.

Much in the way that yes_no type translates character values into and out of boolean.

Have I missed this feature? Short of that, is there an easy way to accomplish this?
