 Post subject: Building NH on .NET2.0 (why should I?)

Is there any performance gain (or any benifit at all) to recompiling NHibernate from the source to use it on a .NET 2.0 project?

I forgot to set the context for the question above. I'm using nHibernate on a .NET 2.0 project.

That will not change anything. As nHibernate is not using any .net 2.0 specific code yet (correct me if I'm wrong), the IL that is produced is still the exact same.

You even have an extra problem, since you do not own the key that is used to sign the assemblies. So each time a new version is released, you will need to remember to remove the signing.
