How to get query result for

Select schema_name.sequence_name.nextval from Dual in hibernate?

I'm using defined sequnce for eg. Item_Seq from the database schema which is assoicated with table Item.

You can use native SQL query, you could also drop down to plain JDBC by getting the connection from the session.
