Is hbm2net dead? It appears to be looking in need of some TLC as far as I can tell from the 1.0.1 source.

It looks like almost nobody is using it now.

I'd like to use it to come up with serialization snippets based on the mapping files and to produce my TypeConverters. What chances are there for any changes beening accepted? Or is it more likely that it will be dropped?

KPixel,

why do you mean that nobody is using it? Is there another easy way to generate class files from hbm mappings?

Thanks,
Wojtek

I'm willing to accept any patches somebody contributes to hbm2net (provided they look ok at first glance) but I won't test them because I don't have any way of doing so.

Of course if anybody wants to step in to be a hbm2net maintainer, we can discuss that too.

Well from what I can see its broken at the moment because of NH-458 and that its binding to a different version of log4net than that of NVelocity.
I've changed it into a class library on my machine and started on some unit tests and refactoring. How should I get these changes in?

uncleg,

do you also plan to include patch to known problems like the namespace problem discussed here: http://nhibernate.sourceforge.net/forum ... ht=hbm2net

Thanks,
Wojtek

Sounds to me you have this issue http://jira.nhibernate.org/browse/NH-458 which the patch does fix.

I could use some mapping files for testing if anyone wants to post some up for me.
