I just downloaded the latest release and wanted to compile both NHibernate and NHibernateContrib. I read the HOWTO Build and Test NHibernate article but I'm actually using Visual Studio .NET and I expected it to be a piece of cake - I'm assuming the instructions are for people working without the VS IDE (wrongly?). Anyway, it doesn't compile for lack of the .snk files.

I just wanted to confirm that the right way to do it is create new .snk files and just put them where the AssemblyInfo files expect them to be. And maybe recreating a few references.

Or am I being dumb?

It is simpler to remove the line about the snk in the files AssemblyInfo.cs :)

But if you need signed assemblies, you have to keep them (and create a NHibernate.snk)

Gee, hadn't actually thought about that!... are there any emoticons with donkey ears? :D

You're right, I don't really need it strongly named assemblies. Anyway, I guess I'll provide an .snk just to anticipate any strong name issues.

Thanks!
