We have Eclipse with the MyEclipse plugins installed.

When I open a mapping file, MyEclipse's xml editor opens the file, not the Hibernate Tools Mapping file.

When I goto edit my file associations there is no entry for a hibernate mapping editor in either the associated editors or when I try to add another editor.

How do I open a .hbm.xml file in Hibernate Tools?

I restarted eclipse with a -clean.

If I use the "MyEclipse XML Editor", it's the same old myeclipse behavior.

If I use the "XML Editor" I get a dialog saying "An internal error occurred during: "loading file ....eclipse.mapper_3.1.0.beta2/dtd/hibernate-mapping-30.dtd"

Also the is an arror at startup

Invalid Menu Extension (Path is invalid): org.hibernate.eclipse.launch.LaunchMenuDelegateMenu

i think that you haven't use myeclipse and hibernate tools together
myeclipse start and develop from ibm contribution for webtools project and hibernate tools use last webtools and it isn't compatible
if you want use both, you can make two eclipse installation (and if you start in different workspace you can start both)

yes - myeclipse uses their own (very old) version of WTP which prevents usage of Hibernate Tools which uses WTP 1.0.
