Hibernate version 3.1. rc3
Eclipse 3.1
Plugins Hibernate Synchronizer, myEclipse

I installed the hibernate tools both by unzipping into the directories, as well as usieng the update manager. I tried to install the eclipse plugin only, as well as the whole JBOSS bunch.

However I canĀ“t get the plugins to work. Neither do I see the wizards, nor do I see the hsql-editor (which is the only thing I am interested in).

Any idea whehe I can look fpr additional information?

Try starting Eclipse with the -clean option. Sometimes Eclipse doesn't automatically detect new plugins.
e.g. C:\eclipse\eclipse.exe -clean - or - eclipse -clean

-clean doesn't work in eclipse 3.1.x too good
try delete ECLIPSE_HOME/configuration/org.eclipse.* (all in configuration directory except config.ini) and restart eclipse and eadd extension directories (if you have extension directory plugins)

the jbosside download works without wtp installed.

the beta 1 download seem to miss a single plugin.

(we are releasing new versions soon which fixes this and other issues)

I tried the JBOSS download too - at least the beta 1 did not work. Any schedule for the new release?

you dont want to install WTP but you are ok to install hibernate tools which has parts of WTP included...? i don't follow that logic ;)

(and if myeclipseide is the reason why it doesnt work then i guess you will have to live without the hibernatetools since you won't even test if that is the case ..)

I found no reference that Hibernate Tools need WTP installed. So this is why I installed them. Maybe you can now follow my logic....

brgd + thanks for your assitance.
