Hibernate Logging

Howdy all,
I tested different log levels with my Hibernate 2.1 but there're still many annoying "!" printed on my console screen.
How can I come over them?

As far as I know Hibernate 3 has more fine-greained loggings, if you want to have more control on what is logged try to port to Hibernate 3.

So far I got that there's no way to hide "!"s in versions preior to 3.0, Correct!?
May I know what realy are these!?

i am not aware of any hibernate logging that prints "!"'s...
