Hello,

I am using Hibernate Tools to generate hbm and java beans. I don't find the toString() method as in Middlegen. Is there a way to make Hibernate Tools generate them?

Thanks.
Hibernate version:
3

we don't do it per default now, but we probably could - add a jira for it.

you can always add the meta attribute for controlling to-string manually.

Hello,

I am switching from middlgen to Hibernate Tools

I find in the hbm, it does do generate <many-to-one> for parents and <set> for children. For e.g <many-to-one> from middlgen is replaced by a simple <property> tag in Hibernate Tools.

Is there a way for me to get the <many-to-one> or other relation tags?

Thanks
Kova

I forgot to mention that the database in question is HSQLDB. When i generate hbm files for an oracle db...i works fine!

There has been changes in recent HSQLDB were not 100% backwards compatible. Make sure your using the lastest version (1.8.x series) with the lastest version of Hibernate.
