i have used second level cache...
but i didnt find any effect of ehcache.xml....
i have removed ehcache.xml from my root directory...
than also caching is working...
i have set hibernate.properties and put ehcache.jar in lib file...
so where is ehcache.xml in picture...
please tell.....

ehcache.xml should be in the root of classpath
