I am in the process of writing a Hibernate enabled ETL tool - to read data from a Hibernate ORM, apply various mappings, and then load the data into a straight database model.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this and/or knows of any tools out there that may help?

Alex

I have only briefly looked at Octopus from ObjectWeb.. My view is that a (good) tool of this nature would be a welcome addition to the Hibernate project.

we are very much looking for stuff like this. look for DataGen in our jira.

You should definitly try and utilize the tools infrastructure to do this.

Contact me if you want to work on this ;)
