Didn't see any docs about this:-
can hbm2java generate Xdoclet tags for the code?

If so, pls point me to the right doc

Only via middlegen to place meta tags in hbm file and then using hbm2java, is what you mean ..correct?

Correct - Middlegen is the only tool that I am aware (as I did the code for it) that uses the meta data facilties to inject XDoclet markup for hbm2java to process.

It is not a hard process to add this faciltiy natively to hbm2java its just a matter of finding the time (and determining that its a higher priority than other features).
