antlr-2.7.5H3 comes with the 3.0.5 distribution (and probably others as well)

Ah.. I don't think there is an actual Patch. From the 3.1 Migration guide -

The Hibernate Team has sent a fix for this issue to the ANTLR developers, and it should be included in the next release. We'll distribute this new version with a minor release of Hibernate in the next few weeks or months. For now we distribute a patched version of ANTLR with Hibernate 3.0 which uses the context classloader instead of Class.forName().

And since the ANTLR project hasn't had a "next release" I assume this doesn't exist anywhere.

I read that. Usually source code modifications of OpenSource projects made by another OS project are available. And I do not care if it is in diff format, link to ANTLR’s bugreport will be OK too.

I'll second the request. It looks like Antlr is in the public domain so the patch wouldn't necessarily be made public, but it's pretty hard to justify importing a library into an application for which the source isn't available (especially if it's an open source framework).

Can anyone confirm that the patch here

http://opensource2.atlassian.com/projec ... se/HHH-218

is actually the one used to build the antlr-2.7.5H3.jar?
