why are there no downloadable archives of the various API-javadocs? (at least I did not find any on the hibernate documentation page)
the manual at least exists as single page html or pdf, but the frames-version of the javadocs would be tedious to get file by file... I want to put them an a laptop without continuous web connectivity, that's why I do need all of them.
if this is available somewhere else, please point me there.

Just look in the /doc/ directory of the Hibernate package you probably already have...

in eclipse you have javadoc view for api documentation - this is automatic from javadoc tags in source file

I see... didn't think about that because I did not download hibernate standalone but installed jboss and didn't see the hibernate API-docs anywhere there (I'll look again right after finishing this :o)
still it would be nice to have a zipped package for download like the J2SE/EE-API-javadocs etc.
