Name and version of the database you are using: MySQL 4.1.11-nt

I can't generate artifacts in a table like this

CREATE TABLE `table` (
`id` int(10) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
PRIMARY KEY (`id`)
) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1;

because of error:
org.hibernate.cfg.JDBCBinderException: The type java.lang.Object spans multiple columns. Only single column types allowed for single columns.

however I can do it with a table like this

`id` char(10) NOT NULL default '',
