i am using hibernate3.1.0alpha5 hibernate-tools' hbm2java. is there a way to generate dao?

This is coming soon. If you can't wait, do a checkout of HibernateExt head and apply the sep3 patch @ http://opensource2.atlassian.com/projec ... se/HBX-367 .

Ignore the code about JSF and use <hbm2dao> inside of <hibernatetool> . Also, this won't work w/ standalone tomcat, or if you are using java version < 1.5 .
