Hi everybody,

I'm soon going to write an application that needs a full history of all changes to the database - i.e. data should never be overwritten, just "replaced" (new row in the database) with a newer version. Later on, I want to display a history of changes for a specific item (and associated items) and/or snapshots of data at a certain point in time ("what did this list look like 2 weeks ago?")

Is there any standard pattern / support for this in Hibernate or do I need to do all "by hand"? I guess I'm not the only one who needs this behavior?

I appreciate any hints!

Thanks,

Holger
