I need info from the dev's: (is there a special forum for dev issues?)

1) where is the currently used version of console-config saved?
(hibernate-console.xml-X, I need the "X")

Problem is that hibernate-tools-plugin regularly crashes. And often the console-configs are gone, although the files are still there.
Hence I want to set the current version-numer of config file.

2) where are the jars containing org.eclipse.*
I cannot find them in entire hibernateExt-project.
Are they supposed to be referenced from eclipse-installation?

the X is generated by eclipse so dont know where it is saved.
we should update the code in HibernateConsoleSaveParticipant to save to just one specific file and thus avoiding them to disappear ;)

The org.eclipse.* files/jars are all from either the eclipse project or the eclipse WTP project.

You just need to have them inside your eclipse to be able to compile.
