Hi fellas,

I'm wondering how to disable the DTD validation. I mean, it always goes to the net when starting the application, but that's bad because maybe my client doesn't have access to it. For now I downloaded the DTD and kept it at the client side, but I don't like this solution at all.

How to disable the XML-mapping validation?

Are you using version 3?

If so, you aren't going to the Internet. You conf files are scrutinized against DTD resources located in hibernate3.jar . If your app is going to the Internet for DTDs, you are either using the old version 2 DTDs, or there is a processing instruction in the .xml hinting to a DTD on the Internet.
