I have a general question about Hibernate. If I build my applications atop of Hibernate, I am tied in to this ORM and there is no way later on to change to other ORM or can I design my system in such a way that I can change my ORMs on demand just like Hibernate does with databases. Has anybody done this?

thanks,
webtekie

So use the EJB3.0 compliant Hibernate EntityManager.
