Hibernate 3.1 beta2 + Hibernate Annotations?

Well, there is the following sentence on the main page:

If you use our EJB 3.0 preview implementation, please continue with Hibernate 3.1 beta 1.

Even though I might get punished for asking... ;)
Does Hibernate 3.1 beta 2 work with Hibernate Annotations 3.1 beta 4?
If not, is there a road map for the date of the next release?
