I can create database tables easily. Can somebody tell me how to delete table using Hibernate?

I guess that the most efficient way is to ask for a JDBC connection to the session and issue a delete.

Come on guys, why not read the reference documentation. Hibernate 3.0 supports mass operations and 3.1 supports mass deletes. Steve even blogged about it.

Sorry, wrong answer. You are not looking for mass deletes, but for "drop table" DDL. SchemaExport can produce that, read the documentation.

I use following, but it gives some errors,

List systemUsers = session.createQuery("drop table hse_Customer_Group").list();

Error message is:

org.hibernate.hql.ast.QuerySyntaxError: unexpected token: drop near line 1, column 1 [drop table hse_Customer_Group]

How should I solve this?
