Eclipse update site and 3.0.0.alpha4(a) missing

Hello,

I can't find Hibernate tools version 3.0.0.alpha4 (or alpha4a) on the Eclipse update site. There is only 3.0.0.alpha2. Is it a bug?

That's true. But if you are using Eclipse 3.1 final you should not use the update site at all, since the Hibernate tools there are not based on WTP and will screw up your Eclipse installation (by also installing the JBoss-IDE). Well at least that happend to me...

So just grab the package from here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=40712&package_id=141977
and manually install all org.hibernate.* plugins into your Eclipse installation.

That should do it.
Once start Eclipse with

eclipse -clean

we cant provide a shared update site because of eclipse projects lack of bumping version numbers for their libraries.

the next tools release will have a hibernatetools only updatesite if it is still necessary

It would be very convenient to have hibernate tools available as update site.
