 Post subject: Beginner's problem

I just started with hibernate and encountered such problem:

Dialect class not found: net.sf.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect

I am assuming it's configuration problem however I had included all the require libraries for both hibernate and mysql. Any advice will be nice. Thanks in advance.

The hibernate JAR is not in your runtime classpath. Your JDBC driver must be there too.

What version of Hibernate are you using ? If you're using version 3.0.x, then you need to read the migration information because the package structure has changed from 2.x to 3.x.

org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect
