Hibernate version: annotations beta3, hibernate 3.0.5

Mapping documents:

The generated SQL (show_sql=true):

Debug level Hibernate log excerpt:

Again I just want to verify something: Methods defined as @Transient are not allowed to be used in HQL expressions. Is this correct? (it complains of unknown property but just wanted to make sure)

For example:
Code:
public class DateTable
{
    ....
    @Transient
    public void getLatestDate()
    {
    }
}

and the HQL:
Code:
getSession().createQuery("from DateTable dt where dt.latestDate = ?");
