Hi all.

I've searched the docs, the forum and the faq and I wasn't able to find information about this, so I hope to do the right thing writing my question here.

I'm an enthusiast of Eclipse and Hibernate and I was very glad to see the new toolset for Hibernate 3 has an Eclipse plugin. But for here in my company we're planning to use Eclipse WTP to do web development I was wondering if the Hibernate Eclipse plugin's dependency on JBoss IDE could lead to some incompatibility with the WTP: I mean JSP/HTML/XML editor (and file association), web services support, server integration and so on.

Maybe it would be desiderable to have the Hibernate plugin with no dependency on the entire JBoss IDE but only on the required libraries. Is this planned in some way?

Thanks in advance,

Fabio Da Soghe

thats how it is today - the hibernate tools is only dependent on WTP (some docs still mention jbosside dependency they are out of date).

Having said that this might change over time - but should not be an issue since JBossIDE is now also moving onto being dependent on WTP.

Thank you for the fast replay!
Happy to hear that. I've also read in this forum that you're merging in some way with Hibernate Sincronizer, I think i'm going to be an Hibernate Tools entusiast too :)

Thanks again and congratulations for your outstanding work.

Best Regards,
