Hi,

I have been using Apache DBCP for connection pool in Hibernate 2.* application, in which the DBCPConnectionProvider is provided in the hibernate2.jar. While migrating to version 3.*, I find DBCPConnectionProvider is not available in hibernate3.jar any more.
Is it a missing/mistake or still under development?
Any idea/clue?

Sincerely,

Thomas

We decided to no longer maintain a DBCP-based connection provider as part of our code base bacause of the numerous bugs that seemed to occur with the DBCP code. We actually no longer suggest use of DBCP for the same reasons.

If you want to use DBCP, its easy enough to write an appropriate ConnectionProvider.

I wrote a DBCPConnectionProvider.java file and am now wondering what to do with it. I placed it in the \src\org\hibernate\connection folder, but that doesn't seem to work. Can anyone tell me what to do with it?
