Hello,

I went to a website from a text advert. on google and found below statistics:

http://www.db4o.com/about/productinform ... enchmarks/

These statistics say that Hibernate makes MySQL and HSQLDB from 2 to 8 times slower than JDBC.

I understand that we should pay for things we get from hibernate but for high load software systems ( like banking, office and those which have more than 50 concurrent users ) isn't it better to use JDBC alone or DAO pattern with JDBC?

I will appereciate your comments.

Regards,
Mac

This is only a marketing effort made by a particular competing vendor and has come up yesterday already. Please read the other postings. For your own project, use whatever you feel is best for your needs. You won't hear any black or white answer from us. Also make sure you read the FAQs on our website.
