I just read the interesting page on Equals and HashCode.
I have also been running into several complex issues when you don't have Equals nor HashCode implemented.
I think hbm2java should generate by default equals and hashcode.
If you don't have them then you can run into pretty complex problems.

you would not suggest that if you had read the full details of that page. that page fostered the change saying hbm2java should not generate it by default since it by default does not have all information to create one!


you need to put meta tags for the properties you want to have in equasl/hashcode

I think you can change the velocity template file, with file name .vm to do this.
