Hi,

I'm using java version 1.3.1 and Ant 1.5
I downloaded hibernate-tools-3.0alpha1.zip and tried to generate code I'm getting java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError org/hibernate/tool/hbm2java/Hbm2javatask Unsopported Major Minor version 48.0.

Am I missing something here?.

That sounds a bit old! I guess that JDK >= 1.4 is required.
Else you can probably try to rebuild it yourself.

Hibernate runs on many more JVMs that the tools do. Most tools do require 1.4 or higher. The resulting output does not (nessarily) have the limitation though.
