Hibernate version:2.1.6

Mapping documents:see caveatemptor example

Code between sessionFactory.openSession() and session.close(): n/a

Full stack trace of any exception that occurs: n/a

Name and version of the database you are using: MYSQL 4.1

The generated SQL (show_sql=true): n/a

Debug level Hibernate log excerpt: n/a

The DDL file generated by the caveatemptor Ant script's schemaexport seems to have a syntax error in it. I get the following error when I try to run the DLL script:

Quote:
ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'tables' at line 1

The first line of the script is:

Quote:
alter table COMMENTS drop constraint FK3_ITEM_ID;

I added the property 'hibernate.dialect' to the Ant script as follows:

Quote:
<property name="hibernate.dialect" value="net.sf.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect"/>

But it had no effect on the generated DDL file.
