Hibernate allows you to manipulate the metadata structure at runtime via the classes defined in package org.hibernate.mapping.

However the javadoc for these classes is, at best, slim!

Is there any example code for this? In particular, is there an example that uses dynamic components and classes?

The only example I have found is a brief note in “Hibernate in Action”.
