Is there a way to turn off batch processing of inserts/updates in Hibernate?. The reason is that Sybase (ASA) is complaning : "Host variables may not be used within a batch"

Addendum. The insert works just fine as long as i am running with 2.1.3. This problem surfaced in 2.1.4. Also, I get differrent errormessages from ASA 6 and ASA 9. ASA 6 says "Not enough values for host variables", while ASA 9 says "Host variables may not be used within a batch". I hav tried to set :
hibernate.jdbc.batch_size=0
hibernate.jdbc.use_scrollable_resultsets=false

but it does not seem to help.

I will create a complete testcase and submit it. As I stated earlier, this all works fine in 2.1.3, all versions from 2.1.4 on forward fail. I just replace the hibernate2.jar file.
