When I go to the search page and search on "ClassCastException Set"
I get a bunch of links. If I press on one of them the webserver
crashes.

Might anyone know why I get a message like this
when assigning a Set ?

at java.util.TreeMap.compare(TreeMap.java:1085)
at java.util.TreeMap.put(TreeMap.java:463)
at java.util.TreeSet.add(TreeSet.java:209)

Works fine for me, what exactly are you doing and what does "webserver crashes" mean?

It means for the last few days I always get this :

Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: ""
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.

For assistance, contact your network support team.

Its on your side, the server is having no problems at all and I don't have other reports of network problems at our ISP.

Go to :

http://forum.hibernate.org/search.php

Type :

"ClassCastException Set" no quotes, into the "search for keywords" input box.

Click search for all terms.

You get set of search results ....

Click on the message

ClassCastException updating object with saveOrUpdateCopy

That's when I get the message thats where the message occurs.
