Debug level Hibernate log excerpt:

Hi,

I am creating a data research which lets researchers query one Oracle 9i & one SQL Server 2000 databases simultaneously (with join conditions).

Since this is research application, it is difficult to identify all the queries that will be created by the UI client. They should have ability to select any tables and ask for filter (where condition) etc.

Is Hibernate a good fit for this? Can it connect to these two databases simultaneously and create joins accross?

Thanks

No, you can't execute join queries on two JDBC connections, therefore Hibernate can't do it. Look for clustered JDBC drivers or another lower level solution.
