Hi all,

I have a problem while retrieving the records ...

here the Id is of type string; and the value doesnt contain any no.

The database column of id is of type - varchar in mysql-4.0

This is the mapping file code segment

<id name="LanguageIndicator" column="LanguageIndicator" type="string">
<generator class="assigned"/>
</id>

But when i enter the starting id with a no.,i am able to retrieve that record.

Kindly suggest a solution for this.

Thanks in advance,

I have no clue on what you are asking about - sorry.

some code and mapping files might help....(and a more non-contradictioary explanation ;)
