hi all,
i really hope this question is not too stupid,
i tried to find the answer myself but no luck.
maybe it means that the answer is - "no"...

can i make a lazy formula?
can i make a lazy component?

all you need is check the dtd

for hibernate 2, property cannot be lazy

for hibernate 3, property can be lazy, but wait for a hibernate 3 rc release to use it if you'arent advanced user.

I haven't tried lazy property when it is a formula with H3, but it would be very very powerfull and could help to avoid the "dao mismatch"... you know, when you would like to add some business rule in your domain model but you unfortunatly need a special little data access...

i go testing lazy formula with H3... come back soon

excuse me, it lazy formula is ok with hibernate 3.
As for single propertry, you need to run the bytecode pre-processor.
check instrument ant task

remeber, only available for hibernate 3
