Hi,

I've tried hibernate integrated in JBoss an this worked fine, thanks to the hibernate team :-)
But now we are heading to other application servers (Websphere or Netweaver) and the question now is:

Will hibernate work in both of the servers?
What's about clustered caches, have we to use the TreeCache also in the new environmet?
Is there any experiens with these AppServers out there?

thx in advance & best regards,
Michael

Should work just fine. For second-level caching you can use whatever you like, thats why Hibernate has various cache provider modules.

Should wor is also my feeling, but what are the dangerous points?

For me the following things are bound to the used application server:
Transactionmanagement, ConnectionPooling, support for MBeans, JCA and maybe clustered Caches (I'm not shure about this).

To be more concrete on my question:
I found documentation showing, that TransactionManagement and ConnectoinPooling of Websphere can be used from hibernate, but what's about JCA and MBeans?
For Netwaever I've completely no feeling / knowledge - has anybody experience with Netweaver in combination with hibernate?

kind regards,
Michael
